We’re launching a new publication

An announcement, a small ask, and a thank you.

When we started writing this newsletter, our vision was to create a publication that would be (1) genuinely helpful, not just a marketing stunt, and (2) deep and timeless, not shallow and ephemeral.

There’s a lot of highly tactical, short-lived eCommerce content out there: BFCM preparation checklist, the 100 most successful ads of all time, ten tips for designing your next landing page…

It all has its place, but we wanted to do something different—ideally, something that would reflect how we work as an agency. Rather than focusing on a million trends that would disappear in a week, we focused on themes that ignited a deeper reflection—the kind of reflection e-commerce leaders need to stay at the forefront of their industry rather than trail behind everyone else.

Almost a year later, this newsletter was nothing but a success: we talked about the new frontiers of customer loyalty, the implications of the metaverse in retail, the overlap between media and commerce, and several other topics that led to many precious discussions in our community.

So, with the tailwind of that success at our backs, we're making some changes to this newsletter to offer you even more value.

Introducing The Outsights

While the thematic newsletter allows us to go deep on a specific topic, we’ve also been frustrated at times when we found an amazing read that we really wanted to share with you but that didn’t necessarily fit within our theme for that week’s newsletter.

To solve that, we are introducing a brand new publication, The Outsights. Every other week, we’ll send you a curated selection of the best reads, brands, and products we have stumbled into in our daily lurking, along with our team’s commentary.

The format of The Outsights will be similar to the old “outsights” section of our regular newsletter, except the links will not be monothematic anymore and will cover a broader range of topics. We’re really excited about this project, and we hope you’ll love it too!

With our new structure, we will be sending four different types of content through this mailing list:

  • The Thought: these are the Nebulab reflections you've come to know and love. Every two weeks, we take a moment to break out of our daily grind and reflect on the future of retail, eCommerce, and DTC.

  • The Outsights: every other week, the best reads, brands, and products from around the web, plus what we think about them.

  • Blog posts and case studies: rather than bundling these in our regular newsletters, we’ll start sending ad-hoc emails whenever they’re released. This will allow us to go even deeper in our regular coverage.

  • Product and service announcements: ...because we’re still a business, after all! We have many exciting initiatives planned for 2024, and we can’t wait to share them with you.
