With the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) entering into force this July, Digital Product Passports (DPPs) are now set to become a reality in the European Union within the next few years.

In our latest blog post, I talk about how brands can ride this regulatory wave to go beyond compliance, augmenting their DPPs and turning them into a vehicle for incremental growth and customer engagement.

In particular, we'll see how to use DPPs to:

  • Turn transparency and circularity into a competitive advantage

  • Collect and activate zero-party and first-party data

  • Create phygital experiences that keep customers using your product

Given the ESPR's relatively long timeline, we will also discuss when to invest in DPPs and how to best approach such investments to maximize your ROI without breaking the bank.
